Our Name Our name Alpha 4 Aviation or “𝛂 for aviation” is derived from two important definitions of the scientific expression of Alpha or 𝛂: In finance, 𝛂 defines the excess or outsized returns (profits) when compared to the market average for a particular investment. Our goal is to help our clients find their 𝛂 – that particular market differentiator or strategy that provides outsized returns to its stakeholders. And, in aviation 𝛂 is defined as Angle of Attack (AOA). At an optimal AOA an aircraft will produce maximum lift.

Alpha 4 provides deep aviation domain expertise and unbiased advisory services for the purpose of identifying market opportunities, driving growth and streamlining operations. We advise clients on commerical and strategic transactions, market opportunities and product development.
Analysts
We solve business problems through a disciplined process of qualitative research and quantitative analysis. We begin with an in-depth consultation to fully understand the problem(s) to be solved; we survey of market conditions, competencies, opportunities and headwinds, then define and recommend business strategies and solutions.
Advocates
Alpha 4 advocates for the aviation industry and our clients through direct representation in commercial or strategic transactions; and, on behalf of customers and industry groups with the community, airport authorities or regulatory agencies.
Acquisitions
We advise and represent clients on both commercial (aircraft) and strategic (M&A) transactions. From fleet aircraft acquisitions to seller representation and strategic transactions, we analyze, advise, negotiate and structure deals to maximize our client’s best interests.
David Moser
Managing Partner and Principal Consultant
David Moser is the Managing Partner and Principal Consultant for Alpha 4 Aviation, where he provides general aviation industry expertise in support of his client’s strategic interests. Prior to founding Alpha 4 Aviation, David served as Vice President, Fleet and Special Mission Aircraft Sales for Cirrus Aircraft from 2013 through 2023. At Cirrus, David had global commercial responsibility for institutional markets, including airlines, flight training organizations, air charter operators, military and government agencies. David’s aviation career began with Diamond Aircraft in 2008 where he was Director of Fleet Sales. He has completed more than 600 piston-engine and jet aircraft transactions totaling $350M in revenue.
Prior to his involvement in the aviation industry, David held executive management, sales, strategic planning and business development positions with leading high-technology companies, including General Electric, GTE, Sun Microsystems and Advanced Energy.
David holds an FAA Commercial Pilot certificate and airplane Flight Instructor ratings as a CFI, CFII and MEI. He has over 4,500 pilot-in-command hours and is type-rated in the Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet. He has earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Kansas, an MBA in finance from Loyola University of Chicago and a Master of Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
